Mechanism of action
i-CET CALCY acts by reacting with dietary phosphate and forming an insoluble Calcium phosphate salt. This process prevents entry of phosphate into blood from Gastro-intestinal tract. As the phosphate intake is less, serum phosphate rise is controlled.
Indications
To reduce serum phosphate in patients for the control of hyperphosphatemia in end stage renal failure
Side effects:
Occasionally Nausea, Vomiting and Constipation
Dosage:
2-4 tablets each 3 times a day with meals.
