i-LANTH (Lanthanum carbonate) is an effective phosphate binder.
Mechanism of action
i-LANTH acts by reacting with dietary phosphate and forming an insoluble Lanthanum phosphate salt. This process prevents entry of phosphate into blood from Gastro-intestinal tract. As the phosphate intake is less, serum phosphate rise is controlled.

Indications
To reduce serum phosphate in patients with end stage renal disease.
Side effects:
Nausea, Vomiting, Dialysis graft occlusion and Diarrhoea
Dosage:
1-2 tablets each 3 times a day with meals.
Presentation:
i-LANTH Tablets are available in 250 mg and 500 mg strength.
